Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) NCL Recruitment 2025, a Miniratna Company and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for recruitment to the posts of Technician (Fitter, Electrician, Welder) Trainees for deployment across its Mines/Establishments in Singrauli District (MP) and Sonbhadra District (UP).

This recruitment is governed by Employment Notification No. 65, dated 16 April 2025, and Corrigendum No. 67, dated 16 April 2025. You should carefully read both the original notification and the corrigendum before applying.

*Note on PwBD Reservation: As per Corrigendum No. 67 dated 16.04.2025, the post of Technician Electrician (Trainee) Cat. III is NOT earmarked for PwBD categories. The PwBD specific suitable PwBD categories for Fitter and Welder are detailed in Table C of the original notification.

NCL Technician Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification (As on Crucial Date: 10/05/2025) NCL Recruitment 2025

• (a) Matriculate or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board.
• (b) AND ITI (2-year course) in the relevant trade (Fitter / Electrician / Welder) along with a Trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.
• (c)AND Minimum 1 year Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • (ITI qualifications acquired through distance learning/part-time mode are NOT eligible)

2. Age Limit (As on Crucial Date: 10/05/2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/ESM candidates as per Government of India rules detailed in the notification (Table E).

NCL Technician Recruitment 2025: Pay Scale & Training

• Training Period: 1 Year
• Stipend during Training (Minimum Daily Rated Pay as per JBCCI XI):
  • Technician Fitter/Electrician (Cat. III): Rs. 1583.32 per day
  • Technician Welder (Cat. II): Rs. 1536.50 per day
• Post-Training Grade:
  • Technician Fitter: Excv. D / Cat. IV (E&M)
  • Technician Electrician: Excv. D / Cat. IV (E&M)
  • Technician Welder: Cat. III (Excavation)
• Other allowances (DA, HRA, Transport Subsidy, Medical Facility etc.) are admissible as per NCWA XI.

NCL Technician Recruitment 2025: Application Fee

• Unreserved (UR) / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / EWS: Rs. 1000/- + Applicable GST Rs. 180/- = Total Rs. 1180/-

NCL Technician Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

• Selection will be based on the score obtained in a Computer Based Test (CBT).
• CBT Details:
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Section A: Technical Knowledge (Discipline related) – 70 Questions (70 Marks)
  • Section B: General Aptitude (GK, GA, Reasoning, Verbal/Mental Ability, Quantitative Aptitude) – 30 Questions (30 Marks)
  • Language: Bilingual (English & Hindi)
  • Negative Marking: No penalty for wrong answers.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS – 50 marks; SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/ESM – 40 marks.
• Document Verification will be done for candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit.
