The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, invites applications from male Indian citizens for the position of Enrolled Follower (Sweeper/Safaiwala) at the Coast Guard Region (A&N), Sri Vijaya Puram. This role involves maintaining hygiene and cleanliness on Coast Guard ships and shore establishments. Postings may be transferred anywhere in India (Mainland/Islands) based on service needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning sinks, toilets, and restrooms.
• Upkeep of septic systems and sewage pipelines on ships and at land facilities.
• Ensuring overall hygiene and sanitation standards.

Recruitment Process

1. Written Test: 50 marks (General Knowledge & General English, 10th standard level), passing marks 50%.
2. Professional Skill Test (PST): Qualifying test including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tasks.
3. Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Qualifying test comprising:
   • 1.6 km run in 7 minutes.
   • 20 squat-ups.
   • 10 push-ups.
4. Medical Examination: As per Indian Coast Guard standards.
